Changing the first stage Particle filter
The Nebula Ice Bath has a 2-stage filtration system. The 1st stage is a 20 micron particle filter. The 2nd stage is a Ultraviolet bulb filter.
For normal residential usage, it is recommended to change the Nebula 20 Micron particle filter (PP Filter) every 2-3 months.
For heavy usage or commercial baths, the filter may need to be changed every 1 month.
It is good practise to check the colour of the filter every few weeks. If the filter is a dark brown, it is time to change it.
Required tools:
- Philips head Screwdriver
- Nebula filter spanner
Steps for correct Filter change:
Step 1 - Turn the power of the Nebula Ice Bath off
Step 2 - Using a screwdriver, remove the right-hand side end grille cover to reveal the Chiller section. You should see a clear filter housing with the old filter inside
Step 3 - With one hand, take the Nebula filter spanner and move it under and up the clear filter housing until the spanner reaches the blue housing ring
Step 4 - With the other hand, hold the clear filter housing firmly and turn Nebula filter spanner anti-clockwise, until the blue ring becomes loose
Step 5 - Once the blue fixing ring is loose, the spanner can be put to one side
Step 6 - Hold the clear filter housing again in one hand and continue turning the blue ring anti-clockwise with the other hand until it is completely loose
Step 7 - Keep holding the clear filter housing and gently bring out the housing from the Chiller section

Water may spill out as the water housing will have water inside
Step 8 - Empty the water from the clear housing and remove existing filter
Step 9 - Install a new filter inside the filter housing, making sure it is correctly aligned inside of the filter housing
Step 10 - With one hand, offer the filter housing back up to the filter head inside of the Chiller section
Step 11 - With the other hand, pass the Blue housing ring up over the filter housing and screw on by hand, making sure the thread is aligned correctly
Step 12 - Use the Nebula Filter Spanner and tighten the Blue filter ring by turning it clockwise
Step 13 - Turn the power back on to your Nebula Ice Bath

Note: The Bath Mode always returns back to FILTER MODE by default when powering the ice bath off and back on.
Step 14 - Turn the Display ON to start the Nebula Ice Bath

Remember to set the bath mode you want, or the bath will remain on FILTER MODE (filters 15 minutes, every 15 minutes)
Step 15 - When the pump restarts, remove the top Nebula Wooden Cover to reveal the top of the Chiller section for easy access to the top of the filter
Step 16 - Using the Philips Screwdriver, turn the small air vent knob anti-clockwise slowly to release air
Step 17 - Once air is released, tighten the air vent knob back up
Your Nebula Ice Bath now has a fresh new filter for ensuring long-lasting clean water

Note, you may see some air bubbles in your filter housing. This is normal and usually vents off after 10-15 minutes
